It is with great pleasure that Corio Bay Innovators are able to report on the ongoing success of the dal model project and its out comes thus far.
Since the launch of the dal model in Oct 2005 there has been much activity. Numerous organisations have made a site visit to dal with ten of these organisations in various stages of research and development.
A number of successful dal model induction days have been held, with six organisations attending. Five of these enterprises are now providing training and employment opportunities for people with special needs in their region. Three of these enterprises are in operation in Victoria, one in NSW and another in Western Australia.
The overall response and comments from the organisations attending the induction days were positive, with a number of organisations reporting a need to re-adjust their plans to reflect the success of the dal model. They were particularly impressed with the significant overall contribution made to dal by the staff with special needs and their insightful presentations on the day.
There has been unanimous feedback regarding readability and ease of use of the dal model document. In addition organisations taking up the dal consultancy and on site training package for key personnel is reported to be invaluable.
Our Executive Director is highly sought after to share the story behind the success of the dal model at various local and national conferences and forums. This continues to generated a constant stream of enquiries and site visits from interested individuals and organizations Australia wide.
